Advantages
The core advantage of the dimiSim© is, that it eliminates leakages, happen at conventional non contacting labyrinth seals as for instance:
- Leaks due to inefficient sealing gaps if it comes to surging
flooding.
- Leaks at a raised oil level, as due to the capillary forces, excessive
oil is pumped up and the seal gaps are flooded. This effect can be
stopped only by cleaning after dismantling the seals.
- Leaks due defect O-rings because of axial movement beyond the
limits.
- Leaks due to increased splashing at sleeve bearings with forced
feed lubrication at higher pressure.
